Could Sunday Stay a Little Longer?

1 min read

Have you ever wished a Sunday could last just a few hours longer?

Not because you had anything extraordinary planned.

Quite the opposite, actually.

Because you were exactly where you wanted to be.

Sometimes the loveliest weekends are the ones you never really saw coming. A few spontaneous plans, a beautiful evening, conversations that last longer than expected, and suddenly it's Sunday morning.

And there's a ridiculously handsome man beside you.

Which, I must admit, is a rather lovely way to start the day.

Especially when the morning involves cuddles.

And kisses.

And a completely unnecessary amount of tickling.

Honestly, some people have a very questionable definition of letting someone sleep in 🤭

But I wouldn't have changed a thing.

There's something particularly sweet about those mornings when nobody seems interested in checking the time.

When you keep finding little reasons to stay close.

Another hug.

One more kiss.

A conversation that somehow turns into laughter.

And then another hug, because apparently the previous one wasn't quite enough.

Of course, eventually, reality remembers where to find you.

There are places to be. Things to do. Two separate lives waiting to resume their usual routines.

And you both know that, at some point, you'll have to say goodbye.

But not quite yet.

Maybe there's time for another coffee.

A little walk.

One more hour together.

Or perhaps just a few more minutes doing absolutely nothing.

I've always liked those moments.

Not because they're perfect or because they promise anything beyond themselves.

But because they're real.

Because sometimes you find yourself sharing an ordinary Sunday with someone whose company makes even the simplest things unexpectedly lovely.

And when the time finally comes to leave, you don't need a dramatic goodbye.

Just a smile, a warm hug, and the quiet happiness of knowing you had a beautiful weekend.

Although I do have one small complaint.

Whoever decided Sundays should only have twenty-four hours clearly never spent one in such lovely company.

And I'd very much like to discuss that decision 🤍
